Who we are

Spooky Thistle ("we," "us") operates spookythistle.com, an online shop for gothic, witchy, and Halloween goods.

What we collect

Order information: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number (if you give one), and the items you buy.
Account information: if you create an account, your login details and saved addresses.
Messages: anything you send us through our contact form or by email.
Email list sign-ups: your email address, and your first name if you provide it.
Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages you visit, and cookies, collected automatically when you use the site.

Payment details are entered on Stripe's secure payment form. We never see or store your full card number.

How we use it

We use your information to process and ship orders, send order updates, answer your questions, handle returns and refunds, prevent fraud, keep the site working and secure, and understand how people use the site so we can improve it. If you join our email list, we use your address to send you news about new products, seasonal items, and sales. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the shop:

Payment processing: Stripe.
Shipping: UPS and USPS, so your order can be delivered.
Hosting and site tools: our website host and the WordPress and WooCommerce software and plugins that run the shop.
Analytics and advertising (see below).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights, our customers, or the site.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand site traffic.

Google: We use Google tools such as Google Analytics (through Site Kit) to measure site traffic, and we list our products in Google Merchant Center so they can appear in Google search results and shopping listings. Google may collect information about your visit under its own privacy policy.
Pinterest: We use the Pinterest Tag to understand how visitors who come from Pinterest use our site and to measure our Pinterest advertising. The tag may collect information such as the pages you view and actions you take. You can manage how Pinterest uses your data in your Pinterest account settings.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site, like the cart, may not work without them.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. Other information is kept only as long as it's useful for the purposes above, and you can ask us to delete it (see "Your choices").

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or opt out of marketing emails, by writing to privacy@spookythistle.com. Some records, such as completed orders, we may need to keep by law. Residents of some states have additional privacy rights; email us and we'll help you use them.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when the current version took effect.
